Houseal Construction’s story begins with Kyle and Meridith, two individuals whose combined experiences and passions have shaped a company dedicated to craftsmanship, functionality, and timeless design.

For Kyle, who grew up in Hainesport, New Jersey, the journey into the trades began early. Inspired by his father, a framing carpenter, Kyle developed a deep respect for hard work and a love for the building process. Some of his fondest childhood memories involve the smell of fresh-cut lumber and watching his dad bring structures to life.

After years of working alongside skilled electricians, masons, and carpenters, Kyle realized he wanted to create something bigger—a construction company built on respect, clear communication, and quality workmanship. In 2019, Houseal Construction was born.

Meridith’s path began in Addison, VT, where her father, a seasoned plumber, instilled in her the values of precision, rigor, and resilience. At just 12 years old, she worked as a plumbing apprentice during school vacations, laying the groundwork for a career that seamlessly blends technical expertise with creative design. Her journey led her to Drexel University, where she studied Mechanical Engineering, and later to the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia, where she specialized in diesel and gas turbine systems.

The Spark of a New Vision

In 2020, Meridith transitioned from government engineering work to pursue her passion for design. While working under an interior designer in Houston, TX, she honed her skills in transforming everyday spaces into environments that are both functional and beautiful. Kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, and utility areas became her specialty, blending her engineering expertise with a designer’s eye for detail.

By 2022, Meridith had fully joined Houseal Construction, working alongside Kyle to bring their shared vision to life. Together, they’ve created a company that focuses on custom solutions, client relationships, and the seamless integration of form and function.

Rooted in the Upper Valley

In 2020, Kyle and Meridith relocated Houseal Construction to Bath, NH, close to where Meridith grew up. Now settled with their three children and two dogs, the family embodies the lifestyle of the clients they serve. They understand the demands of daily life and design spaces that celebrate functionality while maintaining timeless beauty.
